Flag On The Post: Week Of February 14
Happy to see I’m not the only one still enjoying the experience that was a Super Bowl victory.
I’m in no hurry to get to free agency frenzy and draft talk as if this was a regular season for a BUCS fan.
It took 13 years to get back into the Playoffs…17 years to make it to the Super Bowl.
No need in trying to keep up with the national news cycle and move on from the 2020 season.
I’ve watched damn near every iteration of the Super Bowl that’s been produced since February 7th.
And I’ll probably watch them all over again every Sunday until the 2021 NFL Draft.
FLORIDA MAN strikes again.
It was a bad week for the young fella.
Not just him…the entire team. 11 penalties for 120 yards.
After the first two drives, it seemed like their CBs couldn’t help themselves from holding the BUCS receivers.
It’ll NEVER end.
I dunno if White would approve.
But, dammit I chuckled.
Pierre-Paul got something on his mind.
And he ain’t lettin’ nothing slide…not even in victory.
Speaking of not letting anything go……..They call him Tom Petty.
It’s not the first time Peterson was rumored to want to join the BUCS.
The NFC South rivalries are gonna be cranked up to an entirely different level this season.
Especially between the fans.
Case and point.
If you sell it, they will come….
Ummmm….That’s something.
I’ll settle with my sitting thru the 2014 season as a symbol of my dedication to the Team.
Check Ya Sheet.
Ummmmmmmmmm……
If you know this cat, please stage an intervention.
“Downgraded at QB” he says.
Apparently, if you the write the number 12 over and over, it turns into a picture of Andy from The Office.
I laughed. I really did.
I’m not sorry.
𝕴𝖙 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖆 𝖉𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖒.....
Even after a Super Bowl win and a $1.5M pay raise, Whitehead ain’t slowing down or lowering expectations.
Before the season, he said he was gonna make sure they knew his name this year.
He let ‘em know.
And planning on making sure they never forget again.
No apologies.
These two must be related to that “Kevin” character that thinks the BUCS downgraded at QB. I didn’t think I’d see 3 of the dumbest takes this week on the same day….within an hour of each other.
These idiots are allowed to drive and vote.
Be safe out there, Fellow BUCS fans.

Some of the best(and WORST) of social media from BUCS players, fans and media as they head into Week 9 to face the New Orleans Saints.
There’s a WHOLE lot to love about the Team.
There may not be anything better than the feeling of security for the future though.
And the young Defense provides both upside and a sense of security due the young age and, more importantly, the maturity on that side of the ball.
What a difference a bit of stability and competence can do.
Grown folk thinking.
If you pray, pray to be worthy of what it is you desire.
If you don’t pray, don’t be offended and don’t be offensive.
Leave those that do be.
I watched the game 4 times.
One time was just to see the uniforms in action again.
So DOPE!!
That Tom Brady is a monster.
But, seriously…QBs get too much of the blame and too much of the credit.
This foolishness is routine.
The narrative is set.
There’s no going back.
For the record, Jones has 4 drops charged to him on the season.
He’s got a 71% catch percentage on 31 targets.
“Politics ruin EVERYTHING!”
Whose friend is this?!
The REAL age-less wonder in Tampa.
Well, him and Mons Venus.
The “Say Anything” media types strike.
The internet strikes back.
Missing vs NO:
7 turnovers on OFF including 6 Interceptions
So, New Orleans go from QB1 to QB3??
I’m all for it.
BOLD prediction: 4 INTs including 2 Pick-6s, 3 Sacks and 2 Forced Fumbles.
Mr. Tony Dungy is in large part the reason I still feel players’ character off the field is every bit as important as their playing ability on the field.
I wish more people felt the same and actually put that in practice rather than just talk.
IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.

“In the past, we would’ve lost this one….”
Funny enough…very much like JW3.
Given FAR too much credit for keeping them in it because it was mostly the defense.
And his multiple turnovers and multiple missed opportunities down field bit them in the ass.
And that “almost pulled it off” 4th quarter “comeback”.
Weren’t those good times??
Yea.
I cracked the hell up on this one.
I still don’t know who it was.
First guess was Devin Smith.
Simple.
The way this cat sprinted across the field to get this break-up was phenomenal.
The recognition.
The speed..
Whew!
Yea…Lots of fans feel like this.
I’m not one.
The bad habits including slow starts and extended stalling have been routine for the Offense and won’t work in tougher competition.
The Defense missed out on opportunities to end the game before that 2-point conversion attempt. Plays they’ve made before.
Nothing to worry about.
But definitely don’t want to count on luck for a win..
The Brady Effect.
Yep.
Fans were complaining about his play all night.
And expected him to get bailed out on this one.
The 4th and 1 mile conversion may have bought him some good will though.
Ha!! Brady Effect.
Ha!
Somebody’s maaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
Uggggh…
These people exist.
And probably old enough to vote.
The truth.
The whole truth.
Nothing but the truth.
Actually, he had the manual.
May have read the steps wrong though.
Step 1: Play frustratingly inconsistent for 3.75 quarters
Step 2: Miss easy throws down field by bailing out of the pocket. (This suckers in the defense)
Step 3: Throw an unlikely TD to make make people believe you’ve turned the corner.
Step 4: Hope the referees bail you out of bad situation.
Step 5: Allow the defense to keep you in the game.
Mr. Auman with the weekly update.
This dude just keeps his name out there.
Week in.
Week out.
Making plays.

“I don’t give a $#*% about what happened yesterday or the day before…”
NBC Sports August 17th
Damn the odds.
Damn the doubts.
Brady is only out to impress himself and prove himself right in his goal to the be the best QB he can be in Tampa.
He’s probably pretty close to saying he’s done with the questions about anything New England related.
Don’t be surprised if “…and f*%k clam chowder” comes out his mouth by next week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers August 19th
Similar to former BUCS LB Kwon Alexander, White is making a commitment to getting more turnovers and he’s hoping for more INTs.
Alexander got to 3 INTs for a season high in Tampa.
White’s making his goal a minimum of 5 INTs…Or 5 Fumbles …Or BOTH.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers August 17th
Pierre-Paul has been one of the most straight forward cats ever in his short time in Tampa. He doesn’t get caught up in any hype. He doesn’t feed into it. He doesn’t feed off of it.
The dude is serious business.
My trust issues with him aside, Arians is one of my favourite voices in the NFL.
He sound like he’s from Louisiana or Mississippi even though he’s from New Jersey.
In three short sentences, he lays out some subtle yet strong motivation here.
Everyone is on the same playing field. No job is guaranteed.
And you’d best play/practice like you can lose your spot or win a spot.
About 40% bullsh*t….But 100% entertaining.
That’s Arians.
NFL Network August 20th
Gronkowski is another one that’s about business.
Never mind the hype and the expectations.
If the work isn’t put in, the results will show it.
And as longtime BUCS fan on that didn’t watch every other Rob Gronkowski interview or feature over his career, it’s definitely good to see yet another player with a high success rate keeping a high level of demand from himself and his teammates.
Sirius XM NFL Radio August 19
With so many accolades to his name and all the notoriety, Brady seemingly still carries the want to be liked by teammates.
This is in contrast to many others that have reaches his level of success. In the heat of competition and in the process of pushing teammates to get to their level, many high level athletes tend to throw the want to be liked right out of the window. Just take a look at Kobe Bryant or Jordan.
I don’t think Brady’s any different. And that’s fine. In fact, that’s my preference. Bruce Arians also lives by the “Coach ‘em hard, hug ‘em later..” mantra set by Bear Bryant of the University of Alabama.
But this may be my first time hearing a player of Brady’s profile allude to making any effort to or caring to be liked .
Interesting.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers August 21st
William Gholston has been one of the most improved AND one of the most solid players on the roster over the last 7 seasons.
Yet, he’s one of the least celebrated. Gholston has been an anchor in the run defense since his Michigan State days.
It’s good to see Rodgers make a point to acknowledge his importance in last season’s Top Run Defense.
